AHA INSTRUCTOR COURSES

American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course

Course Fee: $525

The BLS Instructor course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider and Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED courses. Instructor candidates learn how to use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies. 

 

Prerequisites: 18 years of age or older, Have a current AHA BLS Provider card (only AHA BLS cert accepted), and Be proficient in your BLS skills.

Course Content:

  • BLS and Heartsaver Instructor Materials

  • Equipment readiness and decontamination

  • How to organize and lead a compliant AHA class

  • How to use AHA materials to maximize student retention

  • Training Center specifics

  • How to administer written exams and skills testing

  • Instructor Renewal process

 

As a BLS Instructor, candidates can teach the following courses:

  • BLS- Basic Life Support (for Healthcare Providers)

  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

  • Heartsaver CPR AED

  • Heartsaver First Aid

  • Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Instructor Course

Course Fee: $425

The Heartsaver Instructor course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED courses. Instructor candidates learn how to use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies. 

 

Prerequisites: 18 years of age or older, Have a current AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED card (only AHA certification cards are accepted), and Be proficient in your First Aid CPR AED skills.
